Rainwater?
Glad you asked.
More than ever right now, we have an opportunity to invest in clean non-essential water for our school students and staff. With increased health risks from COVID-19 and a depleted government assistance program, The Butula Hekima Academy could use additional water sources for things like cooking, hand washing stations, face washing, dishwashing, and sanitary precautions.
This is part of a larger effort from KLTW to support the school in its reopening efforts over the next 3-4 months, in anticipation of students returning to the classroom, safer together. We realize the bigger picture slowly developing and while lacrosse activities have taken a back seat to education and safety, the opportunity to invest in school improvements and strengthening the program has become our primary focus.
As we pivot to this initiative, we hope you will join us in kicking off this fundraiser, and donate where you can. As always, your contributions are tax-deductive as we are a registered 501(c)(3) in the United States.
We can’t wait to update you on an ongoing basis and continue to provide resources where we can for our programs.
-Elliott, KLTW
